Volunteering with the Guelph and District Multicultural Festival

 

 

The Guelph and District Multicultural Festival is a volunteer driven organization. We require a variety of volunteers to assist in the office, on the Board, and at our special events. If you are looking for an opportunity to celebrate culture with a dynamic group of leaders in the community, join us. We are always looking for new volunteers in a variety of positions. 

Board of Directors:

Board Member –  Accountant/Assistant Treasurer. 
We are currently seeking a board member who has accounting experience. This position requires the candidate to ensure that the Festival’s finances are compliant with our bylaws and that our accounting is transparent. Our Board meets a minimum of once a month with the occasional sub-committee meetings (as required). This position will also require presence in the office to sign cheques, make deposits etc. For more information, please email info@gdmf.com along with a copy of your resume. 
 
Board Member – General
 We are currently seeking a board member who can assist in a variety of tasks on our board. This includes organizing performances, coordinating events throughout the year, seeking new sponsors, canvassing, becoming a social media ambassador, etc. 
If you have strong communication skills and enjoy organizing events, please email info@gdmf.com along with a copy of your resume and the skills you could lend to our Board. Please note that our Board meets a minimum of once a month with the occasional sub-committee meetings (as required).
 
Festival Weekend Volunteers:
 

Each year the Guelph & District Multicultural Festival requires the assistance of over 100 volunteers to run the Festival. This 3-day event offers different positions that focus on ensuring our guests are entertained, informed and experiencing the culture of our great city at every corner of the Festival. If you are interested in volunteering the weekend of the Festival, please complete and return the following form.

 
 
Please also have a guardian or parent complete the waiver if you’re 18 and under. 
 
 

*We can provide documentation necessary for high-school students to complete their community service hours.
