Vice-President
Greg Franks
I joined the Board of Directors for the Guelph and District Multicultural Festival to become more active in my community. Having volunteered for the Festival for 2 consecutive years prior to joining the Board, the Festival seemed like a good fit for me in terms of the values for which the Festival stands, and the skills-building opportunities it would present to me. Being employed by a Guelph based company that prides itself on giving back to the communities within which it operates, being involved in an initiative such as this fits in well with my professional values. I have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and the Rotary Club of Guelph. I enjoy gardening, golfing, ultimate Frisbee, tennis, floor hockey, mountain biking, slow-pitch and curling.

I have been a resident of Guelph since 1994 and over the years I have seen the city grow tremendously in various sectors. As a member of the Board, I believe that my cultural background and interest in Arts and History will be helpful in reviewing and developing new policies to enhance the diversity in a number of ways within the multicultural community present in Guelph. I have also done fundraising in the past and have strong interpersonal skills which have allowed me to make strong connections with people at different levels within the community.
